Playlist || How to be Invisible and Rule the World

Hey there Readers

Inspiration to write came to me this afternoon. After I almost gave up on writing my story the other day. I wanted to cry in frustration as I looked at the flat voice of my character sitting on the page before me. But I always make it back. Even when I feel I have lost all hope. All thanks to music.

Today I would like to share the songs that almost tell the story. These songs are a deep look into the characters, the plot, and over all reason of the story.

This song, as I have said before. Is practically how Inga feels. This song is so deep. And I love it so much. I just love it when a song will give a character voice.

I’m wasted, losing time
I’m a foolish, fragile spine
I want all that is not mine
I want him but we’re not right

She is unhappy with her body. With her life. She is foolish in her action, in her time. Even when she is broken. She wants everything that is not hers. She feels she doesn't deserve anything. And she wan's him. But she knows that she will destroy him. (sorry that was deeeep)

I got so caught up in the lyrics of this song. Cause it is so much of Gabriel. This was the one that really gave me another chance for writing this book. I was starting to feel lost with Gabriel. The boy I loved on paper was no longer talking to me. But then I remembered this song, and it all came back.

There was a time
I used to look into my father's eyes.
In a happy home
I was a king, I had a golden throne.
But those days are gone,
Now the memory's on the wall.
I hear the songs
From the places where I was born.

This part tells us about his child hood. The way everything was perfect. He already ruled his own world. But then he lost it. With this I feel I can write about his past.

There was a time
I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world,
I thought I'd never lose her out of sight.
We were so young,
I think of her now and then.
I still hear the songs
Reminding me of a friend.

Now this was the part that got me. He meets a girl of a different kind (Inga) And we RULED THE WORLD! Ahhh. So yes. The rest of it is invalid at this point.

This song I feel is told by both Gabriel and Inga.

There's an old voice in my head that's holding me back
Well tell her that I miss our little talks

Soon it will be over and buried with our past

We used to play outside when we were young

And full of life and full of love.

These lyrics really stood out to me, where the girl is talking about voices in her head. And him trying to bring her back. We use to play outside when we were young. Inga and Gabriel where childhood friends. And Inga makes a statement to how so much had changed since then.

We are the reckless,
We are the wild youth
Chasing visions of our futures
One day we'll reveal the truth
That one will die before he gets there.

I don't know what it is about this song. I've just always liked it. And it is the one I play all the time when writing... The first time I heard it was the background music to a Campbell Live ad. (They have taken down Campbell Live... In which I am not Happy!)
The song just speaks to me and my story in some way I can not explain at this point in time...

And that is all the music I have for you today. Or at least all I can find for the moment. All these songs say at least something about this story. Let me know what songs you like. And what you think. Sorry it takes me forever to post. I was supposed to post this more than a day ago. I need to be more dedicated to this blog. Sorry.

Also give me suggestions on what you would like me to post. That would be great. :)
