A Very Belated Blog Birthday

One year and 25 days ago, I created this blog...

I realized that I forgot to celebrate my blogs birthday. But oh well, better late than never. I'm not sure what I am suppose to do on a blogs birthday. So I will just recap this year, and talk about my blogs future...

I found my first ever blog post HERE. I can not believe I have loosely been running this blog for over a year. I was welcomed into an amazing community of writers and bloggers. Some of the most amazing people ever.
This year I have found it hard to run this blog, being busy with my deign school. Which I completed level 2 and level 3 in graphic design over the year. And have grown so much in myself, and my talent in creating things. Over the course of this year I have come up with about 11 amazing book ideas.

Done with the whole speech thing. I am exited to do another year of blogging. And I am hoping to start Book Vlogging at some point!

I am also HAPPY to say that this blog with be having an upgrade! I am going white...with fancy art work and typography. It will still be the same style. Keeping the goldish colours, and blacks. I have been planning on doing this for a long time.  That will be coming in the next week. I want it to be ready for NaNoWriMo. (Be exited)

Thank you to everyone who has been following for for this long! Please join this blog (this is a member box in the side bar) and follow this blog by email so you are alerted every time I post something.

A Writers Life For Me Tag

Hello Readers.

I just found a writers tag created by one of my favorite book tubers Sara Ella and her Friend Sara Crawford. I do not have book-tube (yet). So I am just going to do it over here. And I encourage any of you bloggers to do this tag as well. Spread the love. Remember to take a look at their blogs and channels, and subscribe. Don't forget to credit them.

A few rules before we begin.

  • Thank the person who tagged you. leave a link to their blog.
  • Answer the ten questions.
  • Re-post the picture.
  • Tag 5-10 bloggers.
  • Have fun!!!

1. What kind of writer are you?

I am a writer of poetic metaphorical YA fiction. I like to write fantasy, contemporary, Dystopian fiction. I enjoy creating new worlds within our world, whether that be in the future, or in modern time.

2. When did you start writing? What made you want to try it?

I always wanted to be a writer. When I was a little girl I would make "books" and write stories in them. As I grew up I would write stories in my head, but never write them down. Up until last year, I could hardly put words down on paper. The motivation came when I found out about NaNoWriMo, and I wrote and finished my first ever novel Clandestine.

3. What inspires your stories?

Songs, Pictures on pinterest, Dreams, people I know. One little things can set off a shock wave of inspiration. And It is beautiful.

4. What themes do you like to explore in your writing?

Sisterhood, mental illness, the power of humanity, and the power that we have over each other. I don't know...something like that.

5. Are you a pantster or a plotter or a bit of both?

I'm more of a planner. I like to have an idea, or some sort of plan written out before I sit down. I will write up a document on the idea, and how I will develop that into a story plan.

6. Where are you at in your journey? Querying, agented, published?

Still in the writing stage. But I want to be all the above in the next couple of years!

7. Have you ever entered any writing contests? Finaled? Won?

No. I want to enter a writing contest. I'm hoping to do so in the next couple of months to a year.

8. Who are your writer heroes?

Tahereh Mafi is my biggest writing inspirational person. Her style inspired me to write the way I do. I also love John Green, Veronica Roth, Markus Zarkus, Keira Cass, Racheal Craw, Jennifer Niven...Etc.

9. Have you been to a writing conference? Share your best or worst conference experience.

It is a dream of mine to attend a writer conference. Maybe one day,

10. Top 3 tips you'd give to newbie writers?

One: Write like you're talking. Make things flow.

Two: Keep dreaming. No idea is to BIG or to SMALL.

Three: Keep Writing.

Thank & link to the blogger how tagged you,
Answer the 11 questions,
Nominate (11) bloggers, and ask them 11 questions.

What do you miss about your childhood?

This is a good question. I think it would the being young and free. There was not a care in the world. We were oblivious to all the problems around us. That is what I miss.

Lots of friends or a few good friends?

Only a few good friends. I'm not all that good at making then keeping friends. I mean, people want to be my friend. But I try and keep it to a small amount, I like it that way.

Winter evenings or Summer mornings?

Summer morning. Cause it is still crisp. But you can walk outside in the fresh air.

Coast or inland?

I have always liked the coast for some reason.

Where and what would your dream house be like?

I would have a big woods out the back. A pine wood. I would want it to be old, with a basement and an attic. And a room with bookshelves on the walls. And secret trap doors....

Do you tend to organise or leave mess?

My desk at my course is very organized. My room will get really messy. But that is cause I don't have time half the time in order to clean. But I love having things in place.

What sort of music do you like?

I am not sure what the genre is called. But things like Of Monsters and Men, Daughter, Lorde, Broods, and piano pieces.

Do you have any pets?

We have a cat. But she is not mine.

Do you live in the country or city?

In the country.

Do you play an instrument? If so, what?

I play the piano! :) I need to do some more practice. Cause I haven't played in a while.

Would you like to visit New Zealand someday?

I am born and bred in New Zealand. But I can still answer this question. I would like to go to the south island. I have not been there yet.

My Questions:

Favorite color?
Favorite sound?
How long have you been blogging?
Do you have lots of stuff on your bedroom wall? Or do you like it clear?
What is your comfort food?
If your life was being made into a movie, who would you cast to play you?
What kind of computer do you use?
Summer or Winter?
What fantasy world would you most like to visit?
One thing that will make you smile?
You are running away, and you are only aloud to take five things with you. What would you take?

I am not going to be able to tag 11 bloggers. But I will tag the ones I know.

T.A.Christensen | Adriana Gabriel | Brett Michael Orr | Briana Mae Morgan | + anyone else :)))

Personal Blog || Journey Through my Deep

Hey Readers.

I created this blog well before I started this one. But it was kind of just sitting there. It was kind of meant to be a journal. So I thought I would use it as that. It's kind of personal. Very deep. But I thought I might share it on here if any of you want to read it. I'm still in the state of constructing it. So sorry for the horrible formatting.

This is still my main blog. And everything will still be posted here. I'm sorry for the lack of posting. An new post will be coming in a few days. (This blog is my BABY!)

http://rachymilly.blogspot.co.nz/
That is all. Hope you all liked my last post about Inga.  I have been doing some writing. But I laptop is currently down... I'm not happy about that. So I have to use our Home PC. But that is hard to get on with so many people using it. Follow me on Instergram @Queenie_Rachy (think that is my user name...)

Love you all.

30 things you might not have known about me

Hello Readers,

So it's the weekend for me! Yay! I had a very boring week of doing hardly anything. But that is a long story. I am here now to do some blogging.
So I thought I might talk about me. Wild Horse over at Opal Swirls did a 30 things you might not have known... And I thought that might be cool to do. Make sure you look at Wild Horses post! (do it now)

  • I put a lot of instant coffee in my cup, and less sugar. (at course I am now putting 4 of the plastic tea-spoons of coffee into my small cup)
  • The only jeans I will wear are skinny jeans. They have to be tight, or else I don't like them.
  • I wear massive shirts. Anything to do with the top half, it's got to be large. I hate tight tops.
  • On clothing; I love huge hoodies. I just bought myself a massive grey hoodie, that I have been looking for, for more than two years.
  • I spend to much time on Pinterest (though you should all know that by now)
  • I am a leader in my churches intermediates program.
  • I cry when listening to 'Just give me a Reason' (I almost broke down in tears at the supermarket when it was playing...)
  • I talk my characters lines aloud when I'm bored, and act them out as well.
  • I hate talking on the phone. I will always make one of my siblings answer it when it rings.
  • When I'm feeling really sick, or tired; I will talk your head off with the most random stuff. Like, it's hard to shut me up when I'm feeling like that.
  • I'm funny if I'm comfortable around you.
  • I love maps. Travel maps, world maps, google maps. I just love maps.
  • I know my way around the City Library. And I want to work at the library. Seriously, I feel qualified.
  • I don't like wearing blingy jewelry. Anything that sparkles; I wont wear it.
  • I like talking on deep subjects.
  • I am happy with myself image. But I try not work to hard on it, I would much rather be a geek than a beauty queen.
  • The movie I always go back to is 'The Day After Tomorrow' It is without a doubt, my favorite movie.
  • I was previously Homeschool. And get very insulted when people refer to me as not being very good at socializing. (or asking if I have a social life)
  • I hate is when I'm walking with my family, and I see people counting my siblings. It makes me so mad, I want to do something that would be bad.
  • I've never broken a bone.
  • I hardly ever wear makeup. But when I do, I smudge it all over my face.
  • When I listen to music on my own, I will sing very loud.
  • When I'm round people for to long, I tend to shut off. So I wont hear anyone, or see anything.
  • I can't watch a horror without not being able to sleep properly for more than four weeks. (so I don't watch horrors)
  • I cant read in the car without feeling car sick.
  • I taught myself to play the piano.
  • I watch tons of BuzzFeed
  • I am going to be 20 in 3 years. And that scares me!
  • I have to much black clothing.
  • My dream job is to be an Agent of Shield...

So that is me. Let me know what you think. :) Have a good weekend.

"I'm a Writer. Therefore. I am not sane."

Hello Readers.

I feel so bad for not doing any posts. But there is a reason for this. As some of you might know, I am studying Graphic Design this year. From Monday through to Thursday. I know that leaves me with three other days, but last weekend all I could do was sleep. I physically could do nothing. (no kidding, it was horrible)

I am now into the second week at course, and for the first four weeks we are on a boot camp. Meaning our project deadlines are much shorter than normal, giving us no more than four days on each project. So I have been super busy with all my work, and the fact that I have two more weeks of crazy deadlines and projects... you get the point.

I promise I will try to get some more posts up. But my mind is very blank, I have used all my creativity during the day. Then in the afternoon I'm very zoned out. Doesn't help that I'm introverted

Ohhh. Though I have come down to plotting 'How to be Invisible and Rule the World' So I have been doing something. I have spent a bit of time on Pinterest... pinning... a lot of stuff... But that has been the best for my plotting. I'll find a picture and be like "yup, that can be a scene" (fellow Pinners will understand)

I am looking forward to writing 'How to be Invisible and Rule the World'. And I know that April will be here before I know it. There is no doubt about that.
The one thing about writing it in April for camp NaNoWriMo, is that I will be at Easter Camp from 2nd to the 6th, meaning I'm going to writing about five pages a day long hand over that time. It's going to be fun... But I'm ready for the challenge.

You guys must watch this beautiful cover of Sia's Elastic Heart done by Madilyn Bailey. I love her voice so much. She is one of my favorite singers. And I adore all her covers. (It's one of my favorite songs!)

Building Blocks of Character: Antagonists Link-up

Hello Readers.

Do day is very exiting! Cause Adriana Gabrielle and I have come up with our very own Writers Link-Up! So exiting! We had noticed the amount of amazing tags and link-ups going about, and thought it would be cool to try and make our own.

Antagonist are the characters we all end up hating, and want dead. You know the feeling of dread when they come into a scene. Though where would we be without a gripping Antagonist to keep the story going? This link-up has some dig-deeper questions to get to know your antagonist.

Rules:

~Take linkup theme pic and post on your blog.

~Show us one (maybe two) pictures of your antagonist

~Answer the Questions! Wooh! Simple as that :)

~When your done, link back to either of our blogs. Looking forward to seeing what you come out with!

1. Is the antagonist a person or a concept?

2. Now give us your villains description! What do they look like? What do they wear? Scars, tattoos or birthmarks? (etc.)

3. Does your antagonist have a special trademark item? (Ex. President Snow's white rose)

4. What is A theme song you have for your antagonist? Does it tell their story? Or is it just some epic song?

Now that that is done, lets dig deeper here!
5.Is there a tragedy that has stuck with your antagonist through their life? What is it?

6.What is it that is deceptive about your antagonist? What tricks people into believing they are good?

7.What is the main motivation for the antagonists actions? are their morals just mixed up? for the protection of someone? revenge? (etc etc)

8.Does your antagonist see themselves as a hero or do they know they are a villain/antagonist? Do they want to be the 'Bad Guy'?

9.Has your antagonist got any criminal records? Or had s/he broken any laws?

10. Now,last but not least (because we love to embarrass our characters), What is your antagonist deepest secret that (if found out) would embarrass them greatly?

Story Worlds: Setting Link-up

Hello Readers.

Here with Adriana Gabrielle. And here is our other (depends which one you read first) Link-up! This link up is focused around your Story Worlds Setting. What does this world look like. How does it work. I see world building as one of the most important parts of writing a story. You have to put your characters somewhere. It could be modern day New York, or a Fantasy world.

Rules:

~Take linkup theme pic and post on your blog.

~Show us one (or two) pictures of your setting. Whether that be a place landmark, map, or landscape.

~Answer the amazing questions.

~When your done, link back to either of our blogs. Looking forward to seeing what you come out with!

1) What is your genre? Cause that tends to determine what your setting will end up looking like.

2) What is the majority of the setting like is it more forest? Desert? Etc

3) Has this world got a memorial landmarks of any kind. (Ex: hogwarts, etc etc)

4) What is the transport like in this world? Do they have cars? Or do they ride around on horse and dragons?

5) What time period is it set around. Have you used an concepts from  historical era. (Ex, the hunger games has the element of the roman world.)

6) Who is in control in this world? Who is leading? Is it a Monarchy, or is it run by a Government? (and if so what kind of government?)

7) What are some of the laws this world has?

8) What is the common religion of this world? And what are traditions they have?

9) Are there any special  (annual) events or holidays that are celebrated?

The Art of Characters Linkup: Protagonists

Hello Readers.

So I've been doing a lot of blogging in the past couple of days. But that is okay. Hopefully you don't all mind me over loading this blog. But I might as well make the best of it.

Today I would like to do a link up created by Victoria over at Tori's Blog. I found this and got really exited. Anything to do with building and sharing more about a character is always tons of fun,

So there are some rules (so you guys can do it too)

Step 1.) Find three pieces of art that describe your character. This can be your own drawings or cosplays or sculptures, someone else's art (with their permission and/or crediting of course), celebrity pictures, or a combination of the three.

Step 2.) Answer the questions below about your character's description and link back to this blog so if anyone else wants to participate they know where to go.

Step 3.) Put it all in a blog post.

Step 4.) When you post it, link up here and you're done! (the link above)

So I am going to do Jack Heron from the Neverland Trilogy. He is not the main focus in the first book. But he does come into the second and third book more. But I thought Iris might be a bit hard to do for this link up. And cause Iris narrates the first book, we don't get highly detailed glimpse at her. But with Jack, Iris is always keeping an eye on him. So I have this highly detailed description of his outer appearance.

I have not done any drawings of him. Nore of any other characters. (Though I can draw, and I love to. I just have been really lazy about it lately...) So here are just some photos I found on Pinterest. None of these pictures belong to me.

First picture of him. It took ages to find something that looked close enough to him.

Drawing by Burge Bug (at least I think that is how you spell it) I like this drawing,
cause it makes me think of Jack and Iris. (Iris has white hair)

Another photo I found on Pinterest.

1.) What does your character's eye, skin, and hair color tell about him/her?

Jack is a Shadow. So he has dark brown hair, and deep dark brown eyes. That is the common trait in the appearance of any shadow. Very dark. The think about his (shadows) eyes, is that they look like they are looking into your very soul. Shadow eyes make you think that they can see the darkest parts of you. And to an extent, that is very true.
Skin on the other hand. He just has kinda light bronze, maybe, I don't know.

2.) What does your character's hairstyle tell about him/her?

Jack has really thick long hair. When I say long, I don't mean hippy. I mean thick lots of hair that fall all over his head. This hair style shows that Jack is really care free, (most guys are) But Jack is from a rather wealthy family. And is expected to reach expectations of someone from his rank. But he doesn't care. He spends most of his time on the street.

3.) What does your character's default outfit tell about him/her?

Oh this is my favorite Jack question. Again going back to Shadow culture. They wear everything dark. And by dark I mean black and dark grey, (sounds like batman...) any way.
So Jack will always be wearing black jeans (skinny jeans) and a black hoodie with a huge hood that covers up the face really well. That is when he is not wearing a school uniform though. But he's always wearing the Jacket.
He's almost always wearing the hood, so you can't see his full face. And I feel like he does that to hide who he really is.

4.) Does he/she have an object(s) he/she carries around a lot?

Jack does have this ring on a woven bracelet. The ring has a mysterious bird on it. But he has no idea what it is, or what the ring is for. His Grandmother left it for him in her Will. But to Jack this item is very important to him.

5.) Does he/she have any particular scars or birthmarks?

I don't know actually. I don't know Jack well enough to know if he has anything like that.

6.) Does he/she have any piercings or tattoos?

Shadows tend to get things like this. Tattoos, piercings. Crazy things like that. But then again. I don't think Jack has anything like that currently. Though he might end up having a tattoo in the second book.

7.) How does he/she carry themselves? Shoulders back? Eye contact? Eyes down? Slumped shoulders?

Jack tends to be a very guarded, yet sly. He often keeps his head down. But when he smiles, Iris says "The look he gives me is the look I would think a murder would give his victim before he stabbed them to death." In other words, he has a sly smile.
He walks straight. That shows that he has been bought up in a higher class house hold.

8.) What is his/her default expression? Smiling? Frowning? Solemn?

He kind of just has a very serene expression. But distant, like he's waiting for something to happen.

9.) Does he/she wear make-up or face paint?

At one point in the first book Jack has his face painted. But that is the only time. Other wise, no.

10.) Does his/her physical appearance change at any time? For example: If they have a power do their eyes glow or hair turn blue?

Nope. Jack stays the same. Though on powers. The Shadow race have a gift of a kind. (it doesn't change them) But if a Shadow is trained well enough. They can tune into a persons death frequency. So can hear a persons death song in a way. But not many Shadows are Strong enough to hold it. Or don't want to learn how cause its to painful. (That was random. But I just had to share..)

So that is it. This was a great link up! Thanks Victoria. :)

Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award

Hello Readers.

So Adriana Tagged me to do the Sister Hood of the World Blogger Award! Thank you so much. I love it how I have been excepted into this online community of writers and bloggers. And we do these amazing tags and such. It's really good.

As you might have noticed, I have not been blogging so much lately. And I know I should, cause my holidays are coming to a close and I don't will not have that much time on my hands. But I promise, to myself and everyone who follows me on my journey. I will be making time to do writing and blogging. Even though I'm not payed to do it (I wish I was though, that would be amazing) But it's my dream to become a writer and I will never put that down, EVER!

On to the tag. (I have seen hardly anyone outside my family since last term/Christmas. I need human
interaction. That is why I'm talking so much. Just bare with me.)

Rules for this tag:

Thank the blogger who nominated you, link back to their site.

Post the Award logo on your blog.

Answer the ten question they've set you

Make up ten questions for your nominees to answer

Nominate ten people

Mint Chip Ice Cream or Cookie Dough? (Yes, this is the first question. Priorities people!)

I would have to go for the Mint Chip Ice-Cream. But to be Honest, I will eat just about any Ice-Cream. I'm not that picky.

Favorite book you have read so far in 2015?

*guilty face* I have not finished any books in this new year. I have just not been in a reading mood. But I did go back to an old favorite, and read parts of it over the early course of this month. And that is Guys are Waffles, Girls are Spaghetti. It was about two years ago that my youth pastor gave me a copy, cause that was what we were studying for small groups.
And I keep on going back to it, again, and again, and again. And the older I get, and the more I have gotten to know the opposite gender (P.S. As of last year, I finally got to talking to them. I was a scared little thing. And it turns out guys aren't that bad. I'm ashamed of myself ....)
I have gotten so much out of this book. It really it amazing!

All time favorite book/series you read in 2014

Wow this is a hard one. Cause I read a couple of book series last year. But I think I am going to have to say the Hunger Games. Only cause that series impacted me so greatly. I think about it all the time, I cry about it (even now). I am such a big fan. But I think cause it was so well written. And the depth to it to so eminence.

What is your Favorite song right now?

I have an interesting answer. And that is Love me like you do by Ellie Goulding. I kinda fell in love with this song (like I do all her music)

Your all time favorite blog post from last year?

I suppose you mean my own blog post. The post I enjoyed the most was writing out My Writing Wishlist. That one was so fun to do, cause I got to share some of the story ideas I am dying to write.

What is your favorite blog you recently discovered? Why?

I don't really have a "Favorite blog" and have not come over any new ones recently. But the last blog that I checked up on that I had found last year. Was Kiera Cass's Website. And she has a blog on there. I lover her writing. And I watch her vlogs. Her websites HERE

If there is one blogger you could meet and spend the day with, who would it be? Why?

Haha (I want to say this with out sounding creepy...) I seriously love all these bloggers to pieces. They are some of the greatest people I have ever met, (and never met) But you all live so far away! I mean even you guys that live in Australia, that is a long way away (although you guys have higher chances of meeting me cause I have family over there...)
Any way. So its hard its a hard decision to make... But I am going to go with the girl that tagged me for this tag, Adriana Gabrielle. I would love to meet this internet buddy, she is amazing, hands down.

When you go to the bookstore are you most likely to purchase a book you have read but don’t own or a brand new book?

I would most likely get myself one I have not read. But it would be one that I had read reviews and stuff on. (Fun Fact: All the books I've read in YA, I don't even own. I get them out from the library. Got to love the library)

How do you feel about e-readers? Do you like them? Use them? or do you prefer actual books?

I have a tablet with and E-reader on it. But I find it hard to read books on a screen. I focus better when I read something on paper. I have noting against E-readers. But personally would much rather the real thing. And when I have my book published, I would want it in paper copy's, and not just E-books. I want to hold my "Baby" in my hands!!!

Okay! Fantasy time! Merfolk or Vampires?

Merfolk/Mermaid. I don't fancy Vampires all that much. I just had to share this picture....

My set of questions:

  • When writing, do you keep a notebook near-by to write down anything that comes to mind?
  • Are you a morning, or a night person?
  • Song you have stuck in your mind?
  • What was the last book you read?
  • What is the meaning of life?
  • Have you ever just started crying when writing a scene?
  • Have you ever met an author face to face? If so, what was it like?
  • Tea or coffee?
  • Your life is now the last movie/TV show you watched. What was that? And are you happy or worried?
  • You one day stumble upon a time machine. You can go to one period in time. And you can take someone from your current time with you. Who would you take? And what where would you go? Plot twist: You have to stay in that period forever, with that one person you took with you. Chose wisely.

Hope you all liked these questions. (I'm dying to know how you will answer them.)

I don't think I know ten blogger. But I shall do my best.

And if there are any of you that I have not tagged. Then pleas feel free to do it. And comment your link below so I can see it. Cause I would love to read it!

Until Next Time.

Story Behind the new name:

  • It will match the background that I adore so dearly.
  • Stained glass windows were/are made to tell stories, through the pictures.
  • The metaphor is that stained glass windows help us see the world through different colours. And I think that is what writers do. We express the world around us how we see it. And everyone sees the world differently.
I want to thank everyone that takes the time to read this blog. It means a lot that I get the amount of views I get each week. And none of that would be possible without you guys!

Don't forget to join this blog (should be something on the side) and follow me on twitter @Queeny_Rachy (I'll follow you back)

New Year Resolutions/Acknowledgments

Hello Readers. It has been about three month since I started blogging. And it is now the end of 2014. So I am going to do my New Years Resolutions. Brett Michael Orr and Adriana Gabrielle did this, and I think a couple of others. So I wanted to jump on the boat and do a list too.

So First I would like to make a couple of acknowledgments.

First i would like to thank the friends that have stood by me over this year: Hayley, Diana, MJ, Ellie, Lachie, Vicky, for being supportive and standing by me, even though I've gotten angry, and over the top emotional, etc. Just thanks for being there. (And for dealing with me)

I would also like to give a HUGE shout out to my amazing Mother. Thank you Mum for being there through my entire life. To being such a great friend. And listening to my ramblings about how my story works, and how I see things. Love you!

Shout out to my Youth Group at CB. For being the bubbly exiting and entertaining bunch. And for being a great community of teens for me to spend my Friday nights with. Also we cant forget the Youth-Pastor Kate! And all the great times spending time with you and the Barker girls before youth, and letting me have an inside view of how the church runs.

And last but not least: All the super awesome teens over at GoTeenWriters. Without you guys in the Facebook group; I would still know nothing about writing. I have learned so much. And Its been great to be in a community of writers on the same journey as me. (Plus my NaNoWriMo writing buddies. You guys are awesome.)

New Years Resolutions

Revise Clandestine, Re-draft it, and polish it up for (maybe) publication

I am so close to finishing writing my first-ever-novel. I'm currently at 60,000 words and counting. And hoping to get that finished in early January. I'm planning on jumping straight into revising/editing. Since I will have about two months till I start with my studies (Need to take that time)
I really want to have this piece of work published some-day. And I'm hoping that I get it at least reader worthy this year.

Create a reading list

Yes lady's and gents: There are many book I want to read in the new year. And I am going to make a long list. (I will make a post early next year with that list)
There is so much out there. And I need to read them!!!

Get a Job

Yeah. Sadly I'm getting old, and it turns out you have to work if you want to live (I know right) I'm hoping I can get a job in: re-tale, or waitressing, or if I'm luck: In the library (Please!)

Get my Drivers Licences

I've got a car, but no drivers licence. Not even my learners! (I'm getting it guys.) But my goal is to have that full licence by the end of this year. (I need it)

Camp NaNoWriMo

I am planning on attending Both of the camps, and do NaNoWriMo again in November. Go Me! And everyone else that plans on doing it again in 2015 :)

Become better at the Piano

I taught myself how to play. I'm not the best. But I can do it. I can play: John Legends All of Me, Taylor Swift Safe and Sound, Down-Ton-Abby Theme song, Beethoven Fur Elise, and a couple of other randoms.

Work to become a better writer

I am so new. When I started, I had no idea what I was doing. But like always, I surprise myself. But even now, I'm in need of so much work with the way I format my work. So I'm going to work on getting better over this year.

Do Good in my Studies

I'm going to work to my fullest ability in my studies. I'm going to work, and get good grades with everything I do. And I'm going to enjoy it. (Go Graphic Design)

I'm going to enjoy myself

I'm really good a being boring. So this coming year, I want to break out of my comfort zone and have some fun. I want to break free, and just be me in-front of people. (This is going to be the harder one)

Extend my Faith beyond measure

I want to be a better Christian. Though I know no one can be that. But I want to put more trust in Christ than I had in the previous year. I want remember why I got baptized.

That that is it. (There must be more, cause there always is with me) But thanks for reading. And let me know what your goals are. Or you could do a post like this (I will find it, and read it,)

Happy New year

-Rachel

My Writing Wishlist

I'm going to do My Writing Wishlist! Created by Kara@ Diary of a Teen Writer. Which was such a cool idea, cause I had been thinking of doing something like this, but just write it down on a private Doc. But blogging about it sounds like more fun.

  • A Fantasy, Called: Dead in The Water
I love making up stories to go with my favorite songs. And one of my Favorite songs is Dead in the Water by Ellie Goulding. So I want to write an Fantasy/Romance about it. Ohhh so exited about it!

  • Epic Dystoia about Rebels and a girl Prophetess
I've been trying to write this one since the start of this year. Its about a girl called Ella who has nightmares, and discovers that everything she dreams about, and what she does in those dreams will effect events in real life. Then Ella and her friend Jase join a group of Rebels who are on the fight for survival. And Ella is the one that will effect everything that happens. (So on, and so on. Its my Baby, and I am going to finish it...one day) Its got guns! And weapons, and GUH, so over the top with this one.

....

  • Historical fiction, a story about a Jewish girl in the 2nd world war
A bit like the book thief. But I have always had a deep love for that time period (Even though it was evil) Iv'e always wanted to write a story about someone who lived in the time, and all the stuff that they were put through, making history through the lives of people who lived. (Sobs) I want to write this from a child's perspective, cause children see the world in such a different, magical way.

Because of Reading...

  • The second and third book in the Neverland Trilogy
I am currently finishing the first book in the Neverland Trilogy. (Just check out my blog, Its full of it) Yeah, the second and third one are going to be amazing! The Neverland trilogy is a Utopian/Dystopian story about a girl called Iris who discovers the secrets of herself, and the secrets of the people and the world around her.

I have a whole Pinterest Board on it, Book Ideas: Clandestine, it just keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

  • A Book about Angels
This something I've wanted to write for a long time! I don't know quite how, but it will happen, sometime, in the future...

Giovanni

  • A story about mental patients who try to escape the prison
Don't worry! I'm still half sane! But this was an Idea that kept coming back to me. But after watching Sucker Punch (Horrible title: Good movie) I was inspired by the way that they treated the girls who were not all mad. It was a heart wrenching thing to watch the movie. Cause I'm a girl, I could look past the way they made them sluts, and felt very deeply for them all. (Is was on the bridge of crying at the end of it)

  • An orphanage, where they take children's dreams
This one was inspired by a dream I had: Where I was in a school like building, and was injected with serum that enabled the runners of the place to rob me of my dreams. So when I dreamed, they would download the dream, and use it for something. But I don't know what. So I started writing it down. It was frighting, but inspiring.

And that is all I have (or can think of) Hope you all enjoyed this list. And I encourage you all to do it as well!

Best Blogging Buddy Award

Wild Horse Awarded me for this! Thanks so much, I really love doing these!

Rules
☼You must make a post to show your award on your main blog.
☼You must tag the person who nominated you in your post (also take the cute owl on the left with you!).
☼You must nominate all of your best buddies, and those whom you want to become best buddies with, who, to your knowledge, have not been nominated for this award.
☼You must ask your buddies at least 15 questions in your post.
☼You must answer all of the questions your buddies ask you on your post.

Why do you blog?

I blog cause I like sharing my thoughts, my work, and little random things. And I know that only people who really want to know will read it (not like on Facebook, things like that just annoy people) Its a fun thing to get into the swing of! It's becoming a hobby. Did I even answer the question? Any how to answer the question, its because it makes me happy!

Purple or Pink?
Okay this is an odd one, simply cause it all goes for shades. If its a light baby rose pink, then yeah. But if the purple is a royal rich dark purple then I will choose that. So if I have to chose, I think I would have to go with the purple. (But I still like baby pink)

Summer or Winter?

Oh my! The two seasons! Well I'm going to have to go with summer, cause in New-Zealand we get nice summers, and I like being able to break free from the clamped in winter. If it snowed in Palmy (it did once and it was the most amazing thing in the world!) then I might say yes. But I'm going to have to go with summer for this one!

Have you read/watched The Book Thief? (Tell me if it ripped you up like it ripped me up)

Yes! I have both read and watched the Book Thief! I have watched it more than once, and read it more than once. When I first read it (before I watched the film) I was heart broken. It hurt so bad in the last part of the book. Its the best book I've ever read. And I will keep on loving the story to the day I die! (I can quote it)

A book you keep re-reading?

Well! The Book Thief. I bought it on audio, so technically I listened to it. But I still count that as 'reading' it, (I just don't read the pages) cause I have listen to it. And I do it over and over and over again!

Do you have any pets?

My sibling have tons of pets. We have chickens, a cat, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, (I think the fish died) I have just come into ownership of a baby bunny, I named her Alice, and she is so beautiful!

Type or Hand-write?

When it comes to writing, I like it better to type. I'm a pretty good at touch typing. Though I still like to write somethings by hand!

Has a book ever made you cry?

Yes! I cried my way though all the Hunger Games (more than I did The Fault in Our Stars)

Favorite school subject?

School: Well being homeschooled I really don't have to take a ton of a lot of subjects. But I like English, and art. :)))

The best sport in the world is....

SOCCER! And I am only saying this cause its the only sport I can get my head around, in which case, makes it the best!

Do you live in town or the country?

Country! I've always been a country girl, living out in the stick and what-not (jokes, we are usually 20 -30 minutes out of town)

What is better: Sun rise or sunset?

Sun set. I never get up early enough to see the sun rise... but sunsets I class as the most romantic...slowly fading off...

It's midday, you're still in your PJ's, at home alone, when some knocks on the door. What do you do?

I would run to get something covering on. Looking out the window to see if there was a car I knew at the gate. Then I would answer the door and try to act natural as possible, while my Panic attach is having a panic attach along with a heart attach!

A quote that is important to you?

I love so many quotes! I know I will think of another one later... But I think the quote by Kurt Vonnegut, “We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”

If you had to eat one food forever, you would eat...

I want so badly to say chocolate, but I would end up getting sick, so I have to say potato, cause you can make so much out of it.

That was fun! :) So now for my set of questions:

  • Do you use Pinterest?
  • Facebook or Twitter?
  • Favorite genre to read/write?
  • Favorite book series?
  • Song that makes you cry?
  • Do you play an instrument? If so, what?
  • Favorite season? (winter, spring, autumn, winter)
  • What are your Fandoms?
  • What book could you just not put down?
  • Did you cry when you read/watched The Fault in Our Stars?
  • What gives you a thrill?
  • Dream job?
  • What word processor do you use to write on?
  • Favorite Flower? (post picture)
  • What year did you start blogging?
  • Favorite poem?

Now to nominate some bloggers!!! These are a list of some of the amazing bloggers I follow. (So don't forget to check them out)

Adriana @ Adriana Gabrielle Writes
Aimee @ To the Barricade
Morgan @ Back to the Drawing Board
Tayla @ The Hungry Firefly
Victoria @ Stori Tori's Blog

That's a really small list... But have fun with my questions! (Take as long as you need)
